Mount Vernon-Lisbon’s Alex Wilson ran the 800m race of her career at the regional track meet in Marion, Friday May 9. Wilson trailed the runners from Marion and Western Dubuque until the final turn. The picture on the right shows Wilson ahead of the Marion runner. Down the straightaway there was some bumping and battling that happened and Wilson ended up finishing third and qualifying for the state meet in Des Moines where the Falcons will compete in 15 events.
